What is AdaBroker?

AdaBroker is a set of tools and libraries that can be used to develop CORBA applications in Ada. It provides an IDL parser, Ada code generator, the CORBA predefined Ada support packages (defined by the Ada mapping).

AdaBroker is available under the GNU General Public License. It has been developped in the Computer Science department of the École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications in Paris, France.

You can also download:

GATM (GNOME Ada Task Monitor), an example GNOME Applet developed with AdaBroker and GTKAda by a team of ENST students: Karim Chine, Joseph Fruhauf, Frederic Genin, and Julien Viard. This applet lets a user monitor the state of an Ada program's tasks.
CIAO (CORBA Interface for Ada distributed Objects), an ASIS-based tool that generates a CORBA proxy for DSA services.

Features Available

Most of the CORBA features are implemented except dynamic invocation. This includes CORBA types, CORBA exceptions, forward declarations and multiple inheritance. The Ada tasking is also working with AdaBroker. AdaBroker/Examples provides several examples of the available features.

Supported Platforms

This release has been successfully tested on Solaris and Linux. See README within the archive for platform requirements.

Should you encounter a bug in AdaBroker, please report it to adabroker-bugs@adabroker.eu.org. Please include a compilable test-case with your report whenever possible.

You can also use the WWW interface for AdaBroker problem reporting.
